RMP Cooperative Enterprises LLC was incorporated effective March 21, 2003 as a Delaware Series LLC. This gives us the ability to immediately incorporate additional companies* as needed to provide new lines of service and to respond to opportunities. This allows us to respond to a wider variety of opportunities more quickly and cost-effectively, and helps us diversify and grow. This is the keystone of our dynamic new structure.
Since we are in essence a consultants' cooperative, we qualified as a co-op in Texas effective March 27, 2003. This will help us further develop in a cooperative direction as our people become interested in participating in management.
*Each Limited Liability Series is defined and recognized as a separate company under §18-215 of the Delaware LLC Act. Since Delaware invented the LLS and states generally do not interfere with each other's corporate laws, this is valid no matter which state's laws apply. The terms "LLS" and "Limited Liability Series" for this form of business were invented by Robert M. Pritchett and are becoming popular among legal and tax professionals.
