We need the right marketing and sales professionals to help continue our amazing growth. You can work part time or full time but you'll be paid by commission only, with no limits. We have several consultants available now so you can start making good money immediately. And we have no problem getting good consultants as fast as you can find projects for them.
We have a SIMPLE and an optional full corporate benefit package with group health and other insurance. RMP Consulting Partners is a member of the Independent Computer Consultants Association.
Due to our unique umbrella-like structure, joining RMPCP provides the tax benefits of being an Independent Contractor, and more, without having to set up your own business. This should be especially appealing to the entrepreneurial professionals we're looking for.

Experience selling technical/professional services, ideally computer consulting, is preferred. Experience performing the actual services being sold is greatly preferred, to help establish credibility with our consultants as well as clients. We have members and applicants all over the US needing contracts, including right here in Dallas. Candidates with existing client contacts, especially in Dallas, will have an advantage. We need as many or as few sales partners as it will take to keep our people working as we grow.
We treat our consultants right so we attract the best consultants to our firm. To work with us, your ethics must be way above the industry average. You must consider yourself to be working for our consultants, not the other way around as in most consulting firms. Please do the best possible job for our consultants, and they will do the best possible job for our clients.
As you can see, we're quite different from most companies. Many firms pay their salespeople and recruiters a commission based on the spread or margin between the billing rate charged to the client and the hourly rate actually paid to the consultant. So the more they can exploit the consultant, the more money they make. No wonder consultants don't trust "brokers". Since we're a consulting firm designed by and for consultants, we take a totally different approach - your commissions are based on each consultant's total gross billing paid by the clients you bring us. This keeps you and our consultants on the same side, instead of competing with each other. It also provides a much bigger base on which to figure your commissions, so we can use a lower commission rate yet you make more money. And since we use fixed percentages and full disclosure, everyone knows what to expect, so you don't have to worry.
As a sales partner, you'll keep earning money as long as your projects last, even though our commissions decline over time (which keeps our consultants happy).
We encourage our consultants to share clients. When they find new clients for each other (and us), the working consultant effectively pays the finding consultant 10% of the first 500 hours worked (about 3 months), then 5% of the next 1000 hours (about 6 months). This burden is thus gone after about 9 months, which is still enough to make a nice referral fee for the finding consultant.
As a sales partner, you'll be drumming up clients full time and won't have income from working a contract yourself. So, when you find new clients for us, your commission is the above referral fee plus a constant 10%. Thus, your total commission from each consultant you find a client for will be 20% of the first 500 hours, then 15% of the next 1000 hours, then 10% of the rest as long as that consultant continues work for that client.
We also have a recruiting commission of 5% of the first 1000 hours for when someone finds us a consultant. This hasn't been used much.
I'll determine equivalent rate and hours for work done on other than an hourly basis such as fixed fee projects. Rate boundaries that occur within a billing period or deliverable will be moved to the end of the billing period (or applicable milestone) to avoid splitting timesheets or deliverables to calculate the commissions.
So, if you're one of our sales partners, and you bring us a client that gives us a contract needing some consultants billing at $100/hr. each for 1 year (2000 hours of work), your commission from each consultant is the sum of:
for a total of $30K per consultant. If the contract is extended another year using the same consultants, you earn 10% of 2000 hours = $20K per consultant for each additional year the contract lasts. So finding us a client that needs only 5 consultants would earn you $150K the first year + $100K each additional year. And that's only from the first client. Find us another client that needs 10 consultants, then you've earned a total of $450K the first year + $300K each additional year. Find us another client every few months, even if they need fewer or lower paid consultants or for shorter projects, and you'll be on your way to earning $1M/year. And that doesn't even include the effect of the Bonus Points you'll earn.
So, don't miss this opportunity for a rewarding and positive change - email your résumé, then follow up the next day. You'll be glad you did.
